Fabre/Speller Architectes

In 2022, I met Fabre/Speller Architects, an agency specializing in complex restoration projects involving challenges related to the extension or adaptation of historic buildings. As an external consultant, I conducted an audit of their BIM performance, providing them with a foundation upon which they can build and enhance their working methodology.

Arsenio

From October to December 2022, I attended a training program provided by Arsenio to prepare for the Professional Title of BIM Coordinator. Arsenio is an e-learning platform that offers intensive courses in the digital aspects of construction and real estate, following the format of bootcamps.

Dubuisson Architecture

For nearly 3 years (from September 2019 to July 2022), as an architect, I participated in various projects and collaborated on the development of a working methodology centered around the 3D model, at the core of the agency’s creative process. These were very enriching years due to the diverse study subjects, architectural demands (driven by the founders and colleagues), and the constant pursuit of controlled production.

Origin

For 2 years (from August 2017 to August 2019), as a student and then as a recent graduate, I worked with Atelier Origin (formerly ATSP). Their recognized expertise in the design of large sports and commercial facilities led them to collaborate with other firms (Anthony Béchu, C. De Portzamparc, Populous, HKS) and expand internationally (including a notable presence in North Africa).

ENSA Paris-Malaquais

The bulk of my architectural education took place at ENSA Paris-Malaquais. The master’s level courses, which played a crucial role in my journey, primarily focused on construction culture, environmental design, and the use of digital tools through two research departments: TransitionS and Digital Knowledge. Here are some of the topics covered in a diverse range: transformation of existing structures, structural morphology, socio-demographic changes, digital fabrication, energy transition, life cycle assessment (LCA), new mobility solutions, algorithmic design, climate change, and robotics.

Fernier & Associés

Alongside my studies, I had the opportunity to meet with Fernier & Associés agency through a friend. I worked on creating 3D models and producing architectural perspectives and illustrations. I remember them as a responsive team always ready to assist.

Michel Possompès

In 2017, through my school, I had the opportunity to meet architect and educator Michel Possompès. Within his Paris-based firm, he primarily focuses on housing projects, both new constructions and renovations, encompassing social and luxury housing. His conceptual approach revolves around scenographic exploration and mastery of the interior architecture of spaces. As a theater enthusiast, he enjoys cleverly blending dramaturgy with everyday life. After 40 years of practice, Michel took on a third role, that of an author. He is notably the author of La Fabrication du projet : Méthode destinée aux étudiants des écoles d’architecture and Mes clients et moi: un architecte raconte, in addition to contributing to the reference manual Profession Architecte. These books are published by Eyrolles.

A+D Proyectos

In 2016, in Santiago de Chile, I joined A+D Proyectos, specifically its architecture branch. The firm stood out for its interest in digital technologies. By integrating education, Claudio Labarca and his team aimed to train young professionals who mastered BIM concepts to promote the nationwide adoption of associated methodologies. On a daily basis, Claudio advocated for a playful approach to architectural design, where each iteration saw the pencil and the mouse intertwine to create what he called his ‘3D sketch-drawings’, the primary mediums for his reflections.

UNAM – Facultad de Arquitectura

During the second semester of 2015, I extended my tour of Latin America to the Faculty of Architecture at UNAM (National Autonomous University of Mexico). From this exchange, apart from the cultural and linguistic enrichment, I cherish the incredible experience of studying at Ciudad Universitaria, a university city recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the greatest symbols of Latin American modernity. Additionally, in the curriculum, I noticed a strong emphasis on the technical and construction aspects of architecture.

PUC Chile – Facultad de Arquitectura, Diseño y Estudios urbanos

In 2015, as part of the study mobility program offered by ENSAPM, I had the opportunity to study for a semester at the Faculty of Architecture of the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. From this exchange, in addition to experiencing Latin American culture and improving my Spanish, I developed an interest in digital tools and BIM. More broadly, I appreciate the strong conceptualization and abstraction, a sensitivity to the landscape, and a high degree of detail in the Chilean education system.

Groupe Alto

In 2014, I embarked on my first professional experience at Groupe Alto, a structural engineering firm led by Marc Malinowsky. The firm specialized in the design of complex and tensile structures, among other areas. A transdisciplinary approach has always been at the core of the agency’s philosophy, where engineering and architecture seek to complement each other to deliver elegant and rational constructions. It’s a team that listens, driven by the desire to design the right detail, precisely calibrated to its architecture. It’s an educational team, motivated by the desire to share its expertise. Above all, it’s a team of enthusiasts.
